Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs also explore the "low-altitude economy": Eavision unlocks new industrial application scenarios

Sep 30 , 2024

On August 30, the Eavision J100 drone completed its flight at the Yangcheng Lake hairy crab farming demonstration base, unlocking new scenarios for feed distribution in Suzhou's low-altitude economy industry.

The Suzhou Agricultural Technology Demonstration Base for Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs is located in the central lake area of Yangcheng Lake, southwest of the Beautiful Legs Scenic Area. It is a core production area with 15 crab ponds covering a total area of 30 acres.

“This is a professional drone with a payload capacity of 50 kilograms. Through timed and uniform feeding (of the feed), it can cover over 200 acres (of crab ponds) within an hour,” said Zhu You, assistant manager of the business department at Suzhou International Air Logistics Co., Ltd.

The Eavision J100 is a multifunctional agricultural drone that integrates crop protection, sowing, surveying, and lifting. It is equipped with a 50-kilogram high-capacity quick-change spreading box and a blade mixer, achieving efficient and uniform spreading at a rate of 110 kilograms per minute. With intelligent calculations, its spreading accuracy is high, with an error margin of less than 10 centimeters, effectively reducing overlap and omissions.

In addition to its effective feed distribution, compared to traditional manual feeding methods, the drone offers higher efficiency and lower costs. “Using traditional feeding methods, it takes about half an hour for an average of two workers to feed a crab pond of 15 to 20 acres. With the drone, it takes less than five minutes. This is highly significant for improving efficiency and saving costs,” said Zhang Xin'e, general manager of the Industry Development Department of Suzhou Agricultural Development Group.

In the future, with the installation of underwater sensors in the crab ponds, the Eavision drone will also be able to automatically adjust the feeding amount based on the density of aquatic organisms. This will further benefit the standardized farming and growth of hairy crabs, as well as the purification and recycling of wastewater, helping the base more accurately control the growth cycle of the hairy crabs and continuously improve farming quality.

So far, Eavision has unlocked various drone application scenarios, including feed distribution for hairy crabs, agricultural crop protection, disinfection in pig farms, and the lifting of loquats, assisting related industries such as agriculture and aquaculture in achieving higher quality and efficiency in their development.

The "low-altitude economy" is gradually becoming a new engine for rural revitalization and industrial upgrading. Eavision will continue to explore more drone industrial application scenarios, riding the wave to become a leading manufacturer of drone equipment in the low-altitude economy sector, facilitating the vigorous development of agricultural modernization.
